Broadmead was built to purpose as a classic British High Street shopping centre in the 1950’s after the November and December Blitz in 1940 damaged the commercial centre of Bristol beyond repair. Built quickly and cheaply but with optimism will it now be overshadowed by the recent arrival of Cabot Circus?
